Summer Updates 2022

The PNLab is happy to safely return to in-person activities with 4 new research projects ready to begin! Daphne, Badriah, Samantha, and Taryn will be recruiting participants for their projects on topics including perception, reading, sleep, and attention among autistic and neurodiverse youth. We are also looking forward to working with several undergraduate honours students this year on these projects.

You may have seen our recruitment flyer looking for volunteers… And now we would like to welcome 21 volunteers to the PNLab! We recently hosted a training session for our new volunteers to help get them acquainted to the lab and the testing we will be doing. It will be a very busy year for PNLab and we are so excited for new energy, learning experiences, and research findings!

In other news, we would also like to congratulate Shayla for successfully completing her Master’s Research Project entitled “ADHD Symptoms and Peer Relationship Difficulties: Transdiagnostic and Cross-Diagnostic Associations in a Sample of Children with Autism, Attention-Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, and Typical Development.” Shayla will be completing her doctoral dissertation with another lab (not too far away…) and we would like to wish her the best moving forward.

Taryn recently received a Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC) – Quebec Autism Research Training (QART) fellowship for the upcoming school year! Congrats Taryn on this wonderful accomplishment!
