October has always been an eventful month as it approaches the midway of the Fall semester. Our lab members have been busy with research, clinical and course work, while happily juggling new personal responsibilities (Congratulations to Alexia on giving birth to her healthy and beautiful baby! Best wishes to her family!). Samantha begins recruiting participants for her project at PNLab. She is looking for participants aged 8-17 with a diagnosis of autism to participate in her study about sleep and academic performance (see our Facebook page for details). Stephanie and Julie also recently successfully defended their dissertation proposals! Stephanie’s doctoral project examines the functions and mechanisms of restricted and repetitive behaviours and interests of autism, while Julie’s project characterizes bilingualism and explores its relationship with reading proficiency.
